Darkness
Darkness is essential. It has purpose, and brings balance. It may be uncomfortable, but it is something to be embraced, not feared.
This is not something we are taught growing up. We have learned to avoid the discomfort and darkness of life, and within ourselves.
To be happy, people mistakenly think that they should always be "in the light" and assume means working hard to avoiding any discomfort.
But the darkness is important.
If we never saw the sky at night, the stars would be forever invisibleo and we would be ignorant to their existence. When we are brave enough to be in our own darkness, we can then see the little flames and stars within ourselves.
Those little sparks of light are strengths you didn't know you had, are lessons your soul is waiting to learn, brilliant connections you didn't know existed, and deep desires we haven't acknowledged yet. If you are never willing to accept your darkness, you'll never know those stars are there.
Out of the darkness of failure, can come strength and determination. The darkness of not being loved, can help us develop unconditional self love. In the darkness of suffering, can come great empathy and a motivation to help others. Under the darkness of loss, can come greater appreciation of love. The darkness of desperation, can cause change and awakening to shine.
Your darkness is a part of who you are; it's the human side of you and is meant to be fully embraced. Only then, can you release that darkness into the light and find your inner flame becoming brighter and brighter.
If you are struggling, reach out. Getting comfortable with your dark and learning how that leads you even further into your light, is my specialty. I work deep within the subconscious (your darkness) and pull it out of you and into your awareness. When you are aware of your hidden stars, you can then discover your truest potential and your authentic self.
